The Td5 exhaust manifold is prone to warping, and snapping the M8 head studs in the process. To help prevent this from occurring, or occurring again, we have created a kit consisting of 8.8 high tensile studs and copper flashed nuts, with stainless steel spacers to help absorb the heat and expansion. This is a must on tuned engines especially when running variable geometry turbochargers. The spacers also offer a greater clamping force on the manifold to the cylinder head.
This is a new version of the original kits which used Wurth studs. This version uses bespoke rolled thread studs that insert further into the cylinder head and also allow more tolerance for heavily skimmed manifolds.
This is a full kit which contains everything to replace the manifold (except the manifold!):
